Roads and Assets Administration

The administration section of the program allows users to manage their road sections and assets, and related settings. The following are some example functions:

Adding A New Asset

The program enables users to add/modify road sections and related assets.

To enter a new asset, users are prompted to select an asset type, and a containing road section (if the asset is not a road section itself).

Road section assets also prompt for daily traffic estimates and the speed limit, from which the road class is automatically determined.

Adding/Editing Master Sign Types

Users are able to add sign types to the program. These are then be used when adding new signs to the system. Existing sign types can also be modified. In the case of regulatory and warning signs, standard signs and codes are provided with the program.

Selecting and Ordering Winter Patrol Roads

Because not all roads in a municipality are patrolled during the Winter season, an easy-to-use interface allows a subset of the roads in the system to be selected as winter patrol roads. These are the only roads that will appear as options when a Winter patrol is conducted.
