AGP - Advanced Generator Protection

AKA has continued its deployment of the Advanced Generator Protection (AGP) system in the Transocean fleet.

RT Adriaan Hybrid Retrofit

In June 2011, the retrofit of Kotug’s RT Adriaan with AKA’s marine hybrid technology was announced. Campbell Foss Hybrid Retrofit

Building on the success of the World’s First Hybrid Tug, the Carolyn Dorothy, Foss is working with AKA to expand the use of hybrid technology in their fleet. Foss is proceeding with the retrofit of the Campbell Foss, a conventional tug currently assisting oceangoing vessels in San Pedro Bay.

Hybrid Drillfloor

AKA is working closely with Transocean on the development of their newest innovation, the Hybrid Drillfloor. This system, when integrated in an existing or new drilling power system, will allow regenerative energy that is produced from the drawworks to be stored and then

Transocean Clear Leader Class

AKA was sub-contracted to provide our AGP system, the 110VDC UPS for the 11kV Main Switchboard, the Diesel Engine Control Panels, and SIPLINK controllers. This constituted essentially the entire electrical work scope in the same configuration as that delivered for the Discoverer 534

Deepwater Millennium - DP2 Class Drillship

AKA has been contracted by Transocean to provide the AKA Advanced Generator Protection system, AKA’s InnoVision Supervisory PLC and HMI, Redundant Power Supply and Monitoring System, deviceTRAK and the documentation package for the vessel’s power system.

Discoverer Enterprise - DP2 Class Drillship

This is the first vessel to be planned for AGP under the new AGP Program, a set of upgrades for a number of TOI vessels jointly planned by AKA and TOI. AKA has been contracted by Transocean to provide the AKA Advanced Generator Protection
